PRO-TEK Vaults A Member of the Kodak family of services
Our Customer Service Objective
PRO-TEK Vaults wishes to work with you as a partner in your media preservation and restoration efforts. It is very important to us that you are as comfortable working with us as you are with your most trusted employee. To this end, we adopt these principles: - (1) We imagine ourselves in the customer's place, understanding the great leap of faith entailed in entrusting your valuable assets to someone outside your own organization.
- (2) We have developed a seamless, strong, customer-focused operational system between your organization and PRO-TEK Vaults so that you, the customer, may consider us a part of your own team.
The Vaults
The complex is comprised of three large vaults of identical construction comprise. Each has been specially designed using 5-inch thick polyurethane panels sheathed on both sides with 26-gauge steel. This prefabricated interior shell has been designed and assembled giving us an equivalent moisture barrier and insulation for the walls and ceiling of each vault. This very carefully and costly designed construction and installation process was necessary in order to maintain the critical temperature and humidity specifications recommended by ANSI IT9.11. These specifications are carefully monitored and maintained by specialized software. Vaults 1, 2 and 3 are for Medium Term Storage of Color or Black and White Film. Temperature and humidity standards are strictly implemented. Preservation Storage
Our Los Angeles Storage Facility has 12,000 square feet of media storage - three ANSI standard state-of-the-art vaults with a storage environment of 45F / 25% RH. Inspection Services
Our Film Inspection facility is a clean room environment providing inspection and repair services for 16mm, 35mm and 65mm, at different levels of inspection services. Details of the different levels of inspection services are available upon request. We have a large Clean Air / level 10,000 Clean Room for inspecting and repairing of film. There is very limited access to this room. The air supply is filtered and employees are clothed in lint free garments while in the working area. In addition to the fact that this is already a clean room, we use clean air work stations (Laminar flow type) for rewinding, inspection and/or film repair. No small consideration is the fact that, film stored in this facility, for which inspection services are required, will not have to be removed and sent elsewhere for the service to be performed. Film does not have to be stored at PRO-TEK Vaults in order to take advantage of our Inspection Services. Restoration Management
Our Restoration Management division is unique in the imaging community, offering you the finest hands-on supervision with the advantage of a virtual laboratory with access to a multitude of specialty service providers. PRO-TEK Vaults was founded in order to provide all branches of the moving picture industry with the talent and expertise to assist the process of managing the restoration and preservation of library product. The expertise and aesthetic judgment of our PRO-TEK Vaults staff offer the client a collaborative hand in making informed decisions with regard to element evaluation, photographic and digital picture solutions, audio restoration and reconstruction, and the video mastering of assets for new markets. Your valuable asset is carefully identified and inventoried through our Meta Data Capture, Labels, and Bar Coding system, and inventory reports are available to you upon request. Security
We take the responsibility of caring for our customer's valuable assets very seriously. Access is electronically controlled access, with video cameras around the perimeter of the building and all vault access doors. These cameras are man-monitored and digitally recorded 24/7/365 by Kodak Security Personnel. Our media vaults are considered among the safest in the world when it comes to protecting our customers moving image assets against fire and or water damage. Each vault is constructed with an equivalent two-hour fire shell surrounding them, a pre-action sprinkler system within each vault and an environmentally safe FM 200 gas system that is tied directly to a Vesda sensing device. The FM 200 will extinguish fire within the vaults before water is required. Delivery Service
