As Kodak is convinced that short films have an important role to play in Cannes as a first step towards feature filmmaking, it supports the International Critics' Week with "Découverte Kodak Prize". This prize awards the Best Short Film of the Critics' Week selection.
The winner receives 3 000 euros worth of Kodak Motion picture film.
First parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival, International Critics' Week has contributed since its debuts to discover new directors. This selection only presents first and second feature films and save a special spot for medium-length and short films.
